TRANSFORMATION OF A FLEMISH FARM INTO A MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER – LANDEN

This adaptation of a Flemish farmhouse into a multi-cultural centre required redeveloping the existing buildings as well as adding new ones. The new and old buildings were bound together by open and semi open spaces resulting in a green masterplan respecting the rural environs. The in-between open spaces were conceived as relaxing, recreational, gathering and play areas. The project was supposed to have sustainable techniques, and optimum functional and circulation schemes to facilitate the various multi-cultural activities.
