MEDIUM SCALE RENOVATION – FLANDERS

This small-scale renovation in Hoeilaart – Belgium was planned post Covid-19, leading to the functional rethinking of defunct flat roofs, gardens, balconies, and terraces. The type of spaces missed by people during the pandemic lockdown. The renovation of the interior spaces has been complimented by the addition of a covered and open roof terrace. The materials and detailing used combine the new design to the old structure in an aesthetic and cost-effective manner. This project situated in downtown Hoeilaart provides relief spaces for the residents as well as contributes to the neighbourhoods green cover.
