In 2012, the Municipality of Hoeilaart announced a competition project for upgrading a derelict public space lying between the cultural centre – Felix Sophie, a heritage building – Nero Café and a Residential project. The concept that made the firm won the project was to turn the rear façade of both the buildings into the main passage pertaining to different pockets of activities focusing on the youth and children. Moreover, rather than only focusing on the youth as the problematic aspect the team focused on involving the other municipalities too which added the essence of ownership for all.
